                                        A DARK BROWN DOG

Dear Ms. Zrihen, I am done reading the book A DARK BROW DOG BY ...................................... .
(page2) "The child beat his pursuer with a stick he had found". I picked this passage because it looked good to me. The significance of this passage is how a child and a dog meet and the boy beats the dog but then the dog sees that he is sad so the dog goes and talks to him and the dog forgives him and they become best friends.
The two before reading strategies I used was to skim and scan and to look for any context clues.
The two during reading strategies I used was two ask myself questions about what i read so far and I reread difficult pages. 1 of the questions I asked myself was If I was the dog would I forgive the child.
The two after reading strategies I used was that I went back in the story to look for more details and I also I asked myself more questions about the book.
Genera: Fiction
Characters: Child Dog
Setting:neighborhood, sunny
Conflict: man vs man how he beats the dog.
Tone: Happy and sad
Mood: good and bad
Point of view: It is a good story.
Pattern of organization: cause and effect
Authors purpose: To entertain
Authors perspective: bias subjective
figurative language: Proclaiming,Acquirement

I would rate this short story a 7/10 because it was good but I have already read better short stories in my life.

  3. Dear Maor,
What was the author? What type of fiction is the genre? How is it bias and subjective? What were some of the text features you found? I like the journal, but who is the main character?
I enjoyed that you had most of the things from the rubric. :)
    Sincerely,
    Tamar Bouskila
